The area’s predominant wide and large format printer provider, Document Solutions, Inc., was acquired by Ford Office Technologies.
Document Solutions, Inc. was established in 1993 by John Wirtz with a focus on wide/large format printers. For nearly 30 years they dominated this area of specialty printing and earned an impeccable reputation in the architecture, engineering, and construction space for quality equipment and fast, friendly service.
Recently, John made the decision to turn the reigns over to begin his journey into retirement and entrusted the future of his company to Ford Office Technologies. “The decision was made much easier once I found another family-owned and operated company headquartered in southwestern Pennsylvania whose values very much aligned with mine,” John says. “I believe in their ability to carry on our legacy and take care of our clients in unparalleled ways.”
Ford officially took over operations of Document Solutions, Inc. on November 30, 2022, and immediately started the transition process. Moving forward, Ford is excited to be able to support their clients with our vast array of office technology solutions that include copiers, printers, and MFP technology, as well as managed IT, managed print, and cloud-based phone systems.
Document Solutions, Inc. has been fully integrated into the Ford fold and is currently operating as the wide/large format printer specialist division of Ford Office Technologies. We have retained all of the Document Solutions, Inc. team who have been able to provide a seamless transition.
