CONNELLSVILLE, PA (April 8, 2022) — On April 1, 2022, Ford Office Technologies, western Pennsylvania’s largest independent provider of office technology, acquired Tri County Office Machines, an office technology company located in Bedford, Pennsylvania and serving Bedford County, Pennsylvania, and surrounding communities.
Tri County Office Machines was established in 1971 and was family-owned and operated. “After 50 years, the decision to sell the business did not come lightly. However, it was time to retire so I sought out the one locally owned and operated business that I believed represents our own values,” said Fred Shumaker, owner of Tri County Office Machines. “My priority was our clients that we worked hard to build relationships with, and after one conversation, I knew that Ford Office Technologies was a company that would value those relationships as well. Their principles and mission aligned with my own, which allowed me to feel comfortable with my decision and know that our clients would be in great hands.”
Ford Office Technologies has begun the transition process and Tri County Office Machines’ clients have been informed that it will be business-as-usual until the process is complete, which is expected to be before the end of May.
